The patron provides the reason for the inception of the art and the context in which it is to be viewed or experienced. The underlying concept borne from the conversation between patron and artist takes form through the lens of the artist. For me, a “successful” result is one that deeply resonates with the patron but can stand independently as a true reflection of the artist.
